The Grand Prix Akoya Pearl Jewellery 2023 has been an exciting and fruitful event. Besides being an instrumental platform to showcase the exquisite beauty of these Japanese treasures, it has also enriched the global community with- a significant deep appreciation for Akoya pearls.
2023 edition’s theme was “Earth – 地球“
to symbolize unity and harmony, promoting the sustainability in the face of environmental challenges. We ought to emphasize the importance of preserving the allure and deep appreciation of Akoya fine pearls for the understanding and prosperity of future generations.
In this edition, we introduced a new design drawing section, receiving an overwhelming response with 60 pearl jewelry creations and 4 design drawings submitted by talented participants from 10 different countries. The total number of votes until November 25th reached an impressive 2303.
The exhibited creations adorned our Ise Shima Gallery from June 10th to the end of October 2023, followed by a special showcase at the Japan Embassy in Singapore from November 16th to 25th. The TOP 30 Designs were carefully selected on December 10th, 2023, and the exhibition continued at the Ise Shima Gallery until the end of January 2024.
We are pleased to announce that the final result of the competition was revealed through an online live event on our Facebook page on February 19th, 2024. This platform allowed us to reach a wider audience and share the excitement of recognizing outstanding talent in the world of Akoya pearl jewelry.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for your contributions to making this competition a success. Your passion for pearl jewelry designs has truly enriched our celebration of the beauty of Akoya pearls.
We encourage participants to maximize your creativity in diverse forms in the forthcoming event “The Grand Prix Akoya Pearl Jewellery 2024”.
