The MAKITO Family founded and continues to operate a multi-generational Japanese Traditional Sweet Business in front of Ise Shrine. My grandfather was not the eldest son, and his wish was that his one son would own his own company someday. Years later, my father chose to resign from a position at a large multinational company in Tokyo to found Pearl FALCO. Some 20 years later, I too would leave a position with a large multinational company to found Pearl FALCO Singapore.
Ise Shima Japan has been a popular tourist destination among the Japanese for over thousands years. For the Japanese, Ise Shima is recognized for its natural scenic beauty and as the point of origin of cultured pearl farming since 19 century. Popular pastimes among tourists – a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Ise Shrine in Ise City, a chance to enjoy the local cuisine, stay in a Ryokan or Japanese Style Hotel, visit an Onsen or natural hot spring and buy luxury pearl jewelry for yourself and loved ones. Pearl FALCO continues to play a role in these Japanese traditions by serving customers in Ise Shima Japan for many years and generations.
2020 Was Such a Challenging Year for All of Us. The Ise Shima economy and Pearl FALCO Japan were greatly affected by COVID-19. Still thanks to all of your help and support, Pearl FALCO Singapore actually grew last year. This month, March 2021, Pearl FALCO Singapore will be celebrating its 2nd Year Anniversary. In celebration, we are looking forward to your visit with special pricing, small gifts, drinks and snacks to thank you for your continued support.
Our two retail locations in Ise Shima Japan have large gallery spaces with 1000’s of designs on display. The buildings themselves can accommodate more than 200 customers at a time.
Our Pearl FALCO Singapore Gallery concept is different. Jewelry is very personal, and we wish to provide a quiet more sequestered space so that customers can enjoy their time for themselves, with loved ones, family or friends to view our collections, learn the difference of each pearl and get a sense of the beauty of pearls and how pearl jewelry can fit into their lives.
Our Pearl FALCO Singapore Gallery is located on the 2nd floor in a British colonial building painted red, called a “Shophouse” in Singapore. No Big Signboard outside. Like a Hidden Gem, you need to enter a code to open the glass doors to gain access to go up the stairs located at both street corners, one is on Kim Yam Road next to a Cafe and the other is on Mohamed Sultan Road next to a Japanese Restaurant.
