With Every Pearl FALCO Jewelry Purchase, You Are Helping To Change A Child’s Future. 10% Of the Proceeds Of Every Purchase Goes Directly To the Project.
Pearl FALCO spread the word of the Pearl of HOPE Challenge on Kickstarter Crowdfunding Platforms in 2020 and 2021 during COVID Restrictions.
The Pearl of Hope Challenge. Over 30 Years in the Making
Maiko’s parents were her inspiration, having launched the original program over 30 years ago in 1987, aiding underserved children in the Philippines. To this day, Many Pearl FALCO Team Members continue to donate to the program from their salaries.
Even more intriguing, Members of our Pearl FALCO Family in Ise Shima Japan today are former Scholars who have since graduated from college.
The Importance of the Pearl of Hope Challenge for Maiko
Grounded with a strong sense of self-reliance and adventure, Maiko started backpacking across different territories and continents in Eurasia during her college days. The experience allowed Maiko to learn about communities and cultures across Eurasia’s great expanse. Hiking across vast stretches of Eurasia, Maiko gained a deeper personal understanding of our shared human bond.
Hiking in Eurasia, Maiko explained, “It was me, nature, and the people beneath the sky. The experience taught me the importance of life and people. I feel we are the same and intricately interconnected under the sky beyond language and cultures, which we often forget too easily.”
For Maiko, this is where her life story, Pearl FALCO, and her project intersect. Keeping the company running smoothly goes beyond selling luxury pearl jewellery. It’s also about supporting our local communities and sharing our passion for supporting the educational aspirations of children throughout Asia.
As Maiko remarked, “It was as if all the different aspects of my life came together, like an intricately woven pearl necklace, a work of art composed of natural born gemstones, weaving together moments in my own life that has brought me to where I am now.”
How The Pearl of HOPE project Works
A Pearl FALCO strand necklace may contain 50 – 8mm Akoya pearls, individually valued at about S$85, comprising a total value of the strand necklace at approximately S$4250.
We strive to make the Pearl of Hope campaign more affordable for everyone by considering a single pearl’s value, with one Akoya Pearl Strand Necklace being divided among several sponsors. We wish to share the beauty of Akoya pearls and connect you with pearls, Ise Shima and the World.
