Pearl FALCO’s “4th Annual Grand Prix Akoya Pearl Jewelry Ise Shima” was conceptualized to share the beauty of Akoya Pearls with the world, now in its 4th year. A total of 92 pearl jewelry designs from 10 countries were submitted. Pearl FALCO is honored to announce this year’s Top 10 Designs.

Additionally we would like to thank The Embassy of Japan in Singapore as we are greatly honored to have our event again at the Japan Creative Centre Singapore, the Grand Prix of Akoya Pearl Jewelry of Ise Shima 2021.

2021’s Theme was “Connection.” Each of our lives is like a pearl necklace, made up of different moments. Each moment or memory, shines as bright as a pearl with a different luster and color. Through the competition and exhibition, we hope we can connect wonderful memories, pearls, lse Shima and the world.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we could not meet with family, friends and the loved ones as hoped for in the usual manner, but through this competition and exhibition, we appreciate that we ourselves could connect with so many beyond languages, cultures and nationalities. Thank you to all whom were able to participate this year!

Due to climate change and the declining number of local pearl farmers in Ise Shima Japan, Akoya Pearl production has declined 80% in the last two years alone. It seems as if pearl cultivation has become more challenging than ever. Thanks to your support and your continued appreciation of pearls, we believe we can overcome these difficulties together. Thank you for your continued support!
